Italian audio company Ixoost has joined forces with Mercedes-AMG to introduce a cutting-edge speaker inspired by the aesthetics of the renowned GT sports car. This Bluetooth-enabled speaker promises an extraordinary sound experience and boasts a visually captivating design that's turning heads.
Ixoost's venture into the automotive world isn't new, as the company has previously collaborated with brands like Lamborghini, Pirelli, and Formula One. However, this marks their first partnership with a prominent German automaker, hinting at potential future collaborations.
The Ixoost and Mercedes-AMG speaker, set to launch this year, stands out for its striking resemblance to the front end of the AMG sports car. Crafted from lightweight carbon fiber, it features a distinctive front grille, as well as design elements reminiscent of the GT, including hood vents, tailpipes, a rear diffuser, and an AMG badge.
Beyond its eye-catching design, the speaker packs a powerful audio punch. It incorporates a pair of bass reflexes and six-inch subwoofers, along with four one-inch tweeters, providing an immersive 360-degree hi-fi listening experience. Despite its impressive audio capabilities, the speaker maintains a manageable weight of just 33 pounds, with dimensions of 26 inches in length and 30 inches in width.
While the price for the Ixoost and AMG's speaker has not been disclosed, it's anticipated to be a premium offering, considering the craftsmanship involved. For context, one of Ixoost's Lamborghini models is priced at $21,000 (R 394 475 est). Additionally, for those seeking the ultimate listening experience, AMG offers an office chair inspired by their performance car seats, making it the perfect complement to this exceptional speaker.
